Countersunk Socket Coach Screws are made of Stainless Steel and perfect for securing objects with high sideways loading onto timber. They have greater shear strength than regular woodscrews, large diameters and a positive hex socket drive.
All are beveled under the head for use in countersunk holes. They press threads into material for a tight, secure hold. To prevent splitting, drill a pilot hole slightly smaller than the screw. Made of stainless 304 or 316, they may be mildly magnetic.
Flat heads are countersunk (cone shaped under the head) with a flat top. Â Allen (hex socket) drive is a six-sided recess for use with an allen wrench (hex key).
