The EGW vertical gas-electric welding machine is a highly efficient automatic welding system that utilizes a current feedback closed-loop control mechanism to enhance the performance of the welding carriage. One of its key features is the ability to weld a single pass with forced water-cooled molding, achieving thicknesses ranging from 10mm to 50mm. It also includes automatic molten pool level control and wire extension adjustment, ensuring consistent and high-quality welds. The compact and lightweight design of the welding carriage makes it easy to handle and upgrade, making it ideal for use in various industries such as petroleum, chemical processing, blast furnace thick plate welding, and shipbuilding.
The MEGW/FCAW-I vertical welding equipment comes with two welding carriages: the MEGW electrogas welding carriage and the MATIC-I welding carriage. The MEGW electrogas welding carriage is specifically designed for welding vertical joints in carbon steel, offering high heat input for maximum productivity without compromising quality. The MATIC-I welding carriage enhances the precision and repeatability of vertical seam welds by incorporating a linear weaver, which significantly improves overall fabrication efficiency.
Figure 2 illustrates the MEGW/FCAW-I process for vertical joint welding using the EGW system.
