Ford Motor Company regards energy-saving and eco-friendly vehicles as the direction of future development

Recently, Ford Motor Company announced that C-MAX hybrid cars and C-MAX Energi plug-in models will be mass-produced next year. To meet consumer demand for energy-saving vehicles such as hybrid vehicles and pure electric vehicles.

The group's vice president for marketing, sales and service at Ford Motor Co. stated: "Now, consumers want every new car from Ford to be a very energy-efficient model. Now, we are constantly expanding our product range for electric vehicles. Consumers have more choices, and this is what everyone is most concerned about. Whether you want a hybrid car, a plug-in hybrid car or a pure electric car, we have a wealth of models to choose from. Consumers can choose from a variety of products. Choose the car that you need the most, and that suits your driving habits and lifestyle.”

In North America, Ford will bring a series of electric vehicles rather than an electric vehicle. The purpose of Ford's doing this is to hope to bring consumers the richest and most varied choices. Ford plans to introduce five electric vehicles to North America by the end of next year, including the TransitConnect pure electric car that is being sold and the Fox electric car that will be launched this year. After the launch of C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrids and C-MAX hybrids, Ford will also introduce a new generation of hybrids next year.
At present, Ford's North American electric vehicles have annual sales of about 35,000 vehicles, of which the most popular models are the Fusion hybrid and the Escape hybrid. These two cars are the most fuel-efficient midsize sedan in the United States and the most fuel-efficient SUVs in the world.

The C-MAX Hybrid and the C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid are developed from the Ford Global C-Class Platform (Intermediate Vehicle Platform), together with the new Ford Focus and Fox Electric Vehicles, by Ford in Wayne, Michigan ( Wayne)'s Michigan factory. The plant is the first in the world to produce fuel-engine, pure-electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid models simultaneously. Moreover, part of the plant's production of electricity is provided by the state's largest solar power system.

The new Ford C-MAX hybrid has a longer mileage than the current best-selling Ford Fusion hybrid. The lithium battery it uses is 50% smaller than the current nickel-metal hydride battery, and its volume is reduced by 25%. More storage capacity can extend the mileage of the vehicle and improve the overall fuel economy of the vehicle.

Ford Fusion hybrids have a top speed of 75 km/h, and the new C-MAX hybrid will have a higher maximum driving speed in pure electricity. The fuel economy of the C-MAX hybrid will also be better than the Fusion hybrid, making it the best fuel-efficient hybrid model in the United States.

The C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid can be charged directly from a 240-volt power supply, has better fuel economy than the Chevrolet Volt in pure electric mode, and is faster to charge. Ford expects C-MAX Energi's total mileage to surpass any plug-in or extended-range electric vehicle and meet the AT-PZEV standard (Advanced Technology Part Zero-emission Vehicle Standard).

As more and more consumers’ preferences are concentrated on more green and energy-saving mid-level models, it is expected that by 2013, the annual output of Ford’s electric vehicles will exceed 100,000 vehicles.
