International Pharmaceutical Exhibition: Foreign Enterprises in China Market to Search for Business Opportunities

"The recent International Medical Exhibition, held at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, concluded after three days of intense activity. According to the organizing committee, 367 exhibitors from 19 countries participated, including 209 international companies, making the international participation rate exceed 57%. Among the highlights was the German Pavilion, which featured 90 companies organized by the German Ministry of Economics and Technology, covering 890 square meters and showcasing cutting-edge technology and advanced equipment."

It provided a valuable platform for interaction between drug manufacturers, excipient suppliers, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Attendees showed particular enthusiasm for the upcoming IPEC guidelines on pharmaceutical excipients."
"In recent years, China's pharmaceutical industry has experienced rapid growth, driven by rising domestic demand. Over 700 pharmaceutical equipment companies now produce energy-efficient, internationally compliant products, including electromechanical integration systems, GMP-compliant machinery, and packaging equipment. These companies offer a wide range of pharmaceutical machinery, including raw material processing, tablet-making, decoction, water treatment, and testing equipment, with over 3,000 product specifications available."
"According to statistical data, the total output value of China's pharmaceutical industry grew from 137.1 billion yuan in 1998 to 667.9 billion yuan in 2007. Export volumes increased from 3.4 billion USD to 24.6 billion USD during the same period, while imports rose from 1.5 billion USD to 14 billion USD. In the first half of 2008 alone, the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector reached an output value of 375.097 billion yuan, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 28.61%."
