Yuchai became the first company in China to pass the European VI certification

As early as the end of June 2011, the first domestic diesel engine that met Euro VI emission standards, the Yuchai YC6L-60 engine, was launched at Yuchai headquarters. At present, many automotive engine companies in Europe are in the development stage of Euro VI engine products. According to the emission test conducted by the National Car Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, the main emission indicators of the Yuchai YC6L-60 engine's European steady-state cycle (ESC) emission test are lower than the Euro VI emission limits. This engine adopts a low-temperature combustion technology route with completely independent intellectual property rights, and a two-stage supercharging system in series, medium-strength cooling exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) technology, and multi-injection strategy control through high pressure common rail fuel injection system. Efficient and clean combustion, nitrogen oxides and particulate emissions are reduced in the cylinder at the same time. The original exhaust gas that has not been purified by the post-treatment system is close to the Euro V emission level. The exhaust gas purified by the post-treatment system is lower than the Euro VI emission limit. After four years of research, this engine was successfully developed. It has overcome several key technical problems of Euro VI diesel engines and promoted the development of China's internal combustion engine technology.

Euro VI emission regulations are considered to be one of the most stringent regulations for harmful emissions from automobiles in the world. The European Union started implementing it in 2013. The Yuchai YC6L-60 engine Euro VI certification invited VCA (British Vehicle Certification Authority) experts and Hangzhou Ward EU certification chief to the scene to witness tests, including basic emissions testing, OBD testing, portable vehicle emissions testing, freezing test In other areas, the implementation of stringent testing standards and certification procedures close to zero emissions. Yuchai's YC6L-60 engine passed the EU certification test, which not only laid a solid foundation for Yuchai's engine products to reach the international market, but also marked Yuchai's entry into the international lead in product R&D and technology management, and was also before the European and American engine companies. Has long been the ambition of Chinese engine companies.
