Wuling Micro-vehicle Production and Sales exceeded 1 million units in January-October 2010, competing fiercely with Changan

After Changan Group reorganized Hafei and Changhe in 2009, it brought great shock to the Chinese mini vehicle market. Changan plans to surpass the old rival SAIC-GM-Wuling in sales, and in the first half of 2010, Changan has surpassed Wuling by a small margin. . However, the latest data show that Wuling, who has long been a leader in China's micro-vehicle industry, is by no means at a leisurely pace. In the first three quarters, Wuling also overtook Dachang'an (Chang'an, Hafei, Changhe).

In the first half of 2010, the total sales volume of the mini-vehicles of Chang'an, Hafei, and Changhe exceeded 650,000 units. In the case of “three arrows”, Wuling was surpassed only by the slight advantage of 10,000 units. For such a situation, SAIC-GM-Wuling has prepared and its vice president, Yuan Zhijun, stated earlier this year: "I hope Chang'an can quickly surpass us. We will surpass him again next year, so that there will be competition for progress."

The go-ahead advocated by senior officials did not take long to become a reality. In the first eight months of this year, the data released by Wuling's performance list was that its mini vehicle sales exceeded 800,000 units, with a market share of 42%, and the overall share of Dachang'an three brands was 38.9%. After September, the gap between the two increased: Wuling’s market share increased from January to September to 46%, sales exceeded 910,000 units, and Dachang’an did not reach 900,000 units.

Chang'an, Changhe and Hafei's total sales of micro-vehicles this year are more than 1.35 million units, which is higher than the 1.15 million units sold by Wuling. However, judging from the actual situation of an average of 100,000 units per month in the first three quarters, there is still a lot of difficulty for Da Changan to complete the task, and Wuling basically has no problem.

It is understood that as of October 12 this year, Wuling's sales have reached 1 million units, SAIC's top position still seems unbreakable. The dragon fights and continues to stage.
