Public Company Information: NASDAQ:ADSK  SAN FRANCISCO & PLANO, Texas – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) and Siemens have announced a new interoperability agreement designed to help manufacturers reduce costs tied to software incompatibility and avoid data integrity issues. This partnership focuses on improving the compatibility between Autodesk and Siemens' product lifecycle management (PLM) software solutions. As two of the leading players in computer-aided design (CAD), both companies are working together to make data sharing more efficient and cost-effective for organizations that use multiple CAD systems. Manufacturers today face increasing pressure to deliver high-quality products faster while maintaining efficiency and affordability. Many companies operate in multi-CAD environments, using tools from different vendors both internally and with external partners. This complexity often leads to challenges in collaboration and data exchange. Ensuring smooth interoperability has therefore become a top priority for engineering and design teams across industries. This new agreement is expected to significantly reduce the time and resources required to support these complex environments. Specifically, improved interoperability between Autodesk and Siemens’ software will address common pain points where users currently rely on a mix of tools. Under the terms of the deal, both companies will share development toolkits and collaborate on creating and marketing compatible software solutions. "Interoperability is one of the biggest challenges our customers face in manufacturing," said Lisa Campbell, Vice President of Manufacturing Strategy and Marketing at Autodesk. "We’re committed to making our platforms more open and flexible so our users can work more efficiently and effectively, no matter which tools they're using." Dr. Stefan Jockusch, Vice President of Strategy at Siemens PLM Software, added, "Incompatibility between CAD systems has long been a major obstacle for manufacturers globally. From cars and aircraft to smartphones and golf clubs, it affects the entire supply chain. By collaborating with Autodesk, we’re taking another important step toward greater openness and better collaboration across the industry."
