Chicago Still & Box, 3/6/16

This is from Steve Redick:

On Monday, March 7th, 2016, I responded to a call at 5336 W. Leland Avenue in a neighborhood that's usually quiet but often very congested. According to radio reports, there was a basement fire that had spread to all floors of a frame dwelling. Engine 94 did an excellent job by finding a strategic access point in the rear of the building. From the alley, they stretched a 4-inch supply line across the next block, which really helped with the operation.
From my perspective, this was a very effective response. I managed to capture some great shots of the roof operations as the fire was venting through the back of the structure. The handlines quickly brought the fire under control, and it didn’t take long before everything was contained.
