Autodesk Announces Appointment of Betsy Rafael to Board of Directors

SAN RAFAEL, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Autodesk, Inc., (NASDAQ: ADSK), announced today the appointment of Betsy Rafael to its Board of Directors, effective September 19, 2013. With over three decades of executive-level financial expertise under her belt, Ms. Rafael most recently served as Vice President, Corporate Controller, and Principal Accounting Executive at Apple, Inc.
"Betsy Rafael's deep knowledge of corporate finance and her extensive experience within the tech sector make her a fantastic addition to the Autodesk Board," said Carl Bass, President and CEO of Autodesk. "We're thrilled to have Betsy join the Autodesk family."
Ms. Rafael retired from Apple in 2012 after serving as Vice President and Corporate Controller since 2007 and Principal Accounting Executive since 2008. Before joining Apple, she spent five years at Cisco Systems, where she held multiple leadership roles, including Vice President of Corporate Finance and Corporate Controller. Her earlier career included tenures at Aspect Communications, Inc., Silicon Graphics (SGI), and Sun Microsystems. She began her professional journey at Arthur Young & Company. Currently, she sits on the board of Echelon and previously served on the board of PalmSource. A proud alumna of Santa Clara University, where she earned a B.S.C. in Accounting and remains actively involved as a member of the Board of Trustees.
