Invested a huge capital of 500 million yuan to build the Western Auto Parts Center
On the 27th, the second project of the Western China Expo kicked off with a series of centralized signing events. Following the announcement of 100 overseas investment projects on the first day of the exhibition, several major contracts were signed, totaling 3.095 billion yuan. Among them, a deal between Shanghai Yachuang Investment and Development Co., Ltd. and the Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone stood out, with an investment of 520 million yuan. This project aims to build an auto parts logistics center, making it the largest in this round of signings.
According to reports, the newly signed projects covered various sectors. There were five industrial projects worth 224 million yuan, four infrastructure projects totaling 900 million yuan, two tourism projects amounting to 245 million yuan, and five real estate projects involving 350 million yuan. Additionally, one electronic information project was valued at 23 million yuan. Out of these, eight projects exceeded 100 million yuan in value, with the Chengdu auto parts logistics center being the most significant.
Before the signing ceremony, Ben Wang, a reporter, interviewed Mr. Gao, the representative from Shanghai. He emphasized that the decision to invest in Chengdu was driven by the city's vast development potential in logistics and auto parts industries. He also mentioned that the company had made substantial investments in "hardware" infrastructure. The goal is to leverage the collaboration between both sides to bring advanced logistics management practices from coastal areas into Sichuan, helping the region become a leading auto parts hub in Southwest China.
Mr. Gao expressed his satisfaction with Chengdu's overall investment environment. “The efficiency here is impressive, the hardware conditions are excellent, and the infrastructure development keeps pace with the needs,†he said. The event marked another milestone in strengthening economic ties between eastern and western China, highlighting the growing importance of Chengdu as a key player in regional development.
