Invested a huge capital of 500 million yuan to build the Western Auto Parts Center
On the 27th, the second project of the Western China Expo kicked off with a series of centralized signing events. Following the announcement of 100 overseas investment projects on the first day of the exhibition, a total of 3.095 billion yuan worth of investment contracts were signed during the event. Among these, a deal between Shanghai Yachuang Investment and Development Co., Ltd. and Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone stood out, with an investment of 520 million yuan. This project aims to build an auto parts logistics center, making it the largest single contract in this round.
According to reports, the signed projects covered various sectors. There were five industrial projects totaling 224 million yuan, four infrastructure projects amounting to 900 million yuan, two tourism-related projects valued at 245 million yuan, and five real estate projects involving 350 million yuan. Additionally, one electronic information project was signed for 23 million yuan. Out of all the deals, eight projects exceeded 100 million yuan in value.
Before the signing ceremony, Ben Wang, a reporter, interviewed Mr. Gao, the representative from Shanghai. He explained that the decision to invest in Chengdu was largely driven by the city’s vast potential in logistics and auto parts industries. “We are investing heavily in hardware infrastructure,†he said. “We hope that through cooperation between our companies, Sichuan can benefit from advanced logistics management practices from the coastal regions, and eventually become a leading auto parts hub in the southwest.â€
Mr. Gao also expressed his satisfaction with Chengdu’s overall investment environment. “The efficiency of local government work is impressive, the physical infrastructure is well-developed, and construction keeps pace with development,†he added.
This round of signings highlights Chengdu’s growing appeal as a key economic and logistical hub in western China, reinforcing its role in attracting both domestic and international investment.
