New squad for MESS Canteen

The new MESS Canteen Unit M-5 has been stationed at the Barrington Countryside FPD facility on Pepper Road. Interestingly, this unit was previously known as the X-Woodstock FRD. One of the standout features of this newly configured unit is its innovative slide-out trays designed for supplies during deployments. This clever design eliminates the need for traditional folding tables that were typically set up alongside the firefighting teams.
As you can see in the accompanying images, the former Woodstock FRD squad has been repurposed to serve the MESS Canteen Service as M-5. The transformation is quite impressive, as captured in Tim Olk's photograph. In another image, we have the Woodstock FRD Squad 482, which has been decommissioned and now stands as a testament to the evolution of firefighting equipment, thanks to Larry Shapiro’s keen eye.
The effectiveness of this new setup is further highlighted in yet another image showing the MESS Canteen’s new unit actively supporting firefighters at a second fire scene. The adaptability and efficiency brought by these slide-out trays are clearly making a significant difference on the ground. Larry Shapiro once again captures the moment beautifully.
