Worker trapped in trench in Niles 7-19-14 (pt 3)

This report is from Steve Redick.

There was a technical rescue (TRT) box alarm last night in the 8500 block of N Olcott. From what I gathered, a worker became trapped during a trench collapse at a construction site in front of a house. The Niles Fire Department responded with their aerial unit, which had some sort of block or hoist mechanism attached—but it wasn’t in use when I arrived. I could see some shoring already in place, and a "sewer sucker" was actively being used to clear debris. The victim was successfully extracted approximately 90 minutes after the call, and they appeared to be in good condition. I managed to take some great photos of the operation as well.
