(NASDAQ: ADSK) has officially finalized the acquisition of key technology assets from Virtual Shape Research GmbH (VSR), a leading provider of class-A surface modeling and conceptual design software tailored for the automotive sector. As part of the agreement, 10 VSR employees will transition to Autodesk, strengthening its technical capabilities in the automotive space. The acquisition is expected to enhance Autodesk’s product portfolio, particularly within the Alias line, by integrating advanced technical surfacing solutions. This move reinforces Autodesk’s commitment to supporting automotive manufacturers with more efficient and high-quality design processes. While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the strategic alignment between the two companies is seen as a significant step forward in innovation and customer support.
