Autodesk to Acquire Cloud Based Estimating Company ProEst

SAN FRANCISCO, December 16, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), a global leader in design and construction technology, today announced its acquisition of ProEst, a cloud-based estimating solution that empowers construction teams to streamline the creation of estimates, perform digital takeoffs, and generate detailed reports and proposals. ProEst will be integrated into Autodesk Construction Cloud, a comprehensive platform designed to connect teams, data, and workflows throughout the entire building lifecycle. This acquisition strengthens Autodesk Construction Cloud's preconstruction offerings, allowing construction teams to manage their critical preconstruction and construction workflows on a unified platform. ProEst’s cloud-based solution enables users to access estimating information from anywhere, anytime, and seamlessly integrate third-party cost databases to optimize workflows. By combining ProEst’s capabilities with Autodesk Construction Cloud, teams can better track costs against estimates, ensuring increased transparency and improving the likelihood of project success. ProEst, whose client base includes prominent firms like Geisinger, O’Brien Construction, Vantis, and Oswald, excels in translating project scope into material, labor, and equipment costs swiftly and efficiently. This capability not only accelerates the estimation process but also enhances bid quality, minimizes project risks, and boosts the odds of securing contracts. With ProEst’s cloud-based platform, customers gain the flexibility to collaborate effectively and stay agile in a fast-paced industry. Luis Berumen, Vice President of Innovation and Technology at Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition: “At Bartlett Cocke, we’re committed to delivering high-quality projects safely and on time. Autodesk Construction Cloud already helps us enhance collaboration across different phases of a project. Adding ProEst’s cloud-based estimating capabilities will further boost our efficiency and enable us to complete projects with even greater precision.” Manny Innamorato, Chief Information Officer at the New York City School Construction Authority, echoed similar sentiments: “ProEst allows us to generate estimates more rapidly, consistently, and accurately throughout the design phase and in collaboration with our partners. This improves overall efficiency and ensures we meet our mission of building schools responsibly and cost-effectively while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. We’re excited about the potential of integrating ProEst with Autodesk Construction Cloud to streamline our workflows and achieve our goals more effectively.” ProEst will become part of Autodesk Construction Cloud’s existing suite of solutions, which includes Autodesk Takeoff, BIM Collaborate, Build, and BuildingConnected. These tools collectively aim to reduce rework, improve productivity, increase automation, and accelerate project delivery. For example, Autodesk Takeoff empowers estimators to perform both 2D and 3D quantification tasks, while BuildingConnected centralizes and streamlines the bidding process, helping teams identify qualified subcontractors and compare bids efficiently. Jim Lynch, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Autodesk Construction Solutions, highlighted the strategic value of this acquisition: “Accurate estimation is crucial for downstream construction workflows, yet it is often a manual and fragmented process prone to errors. ProEst’s integration into Autodesk Construction Cloud will bridge this gap, ensuring that estimates are connected with other project data to minimize cost and schedule overruns. ProEst shares our vision for digital transformation in construction, and we’re thrilled to bring their innovative estimating solution into our ecosystem.” Jeff Gerardi, Founder and CEO of ProEst, shared his excitement about joining Autodesk: “Our mission has always been to reinvent the construction estimating process and provide the most advanced tools available. Transitioning from paper-based systems to cloud-based platforms has been transformative, and we’re proud to contribute to Autodesk’s vision of connecting construction from start to finish. We’re eager to work together to deliver even more value to our customers.” Autodesk’s recent investments in construction technology include acquisitions such as Aurigo Software’s capital planning tools, Bridgit’s workforce allocation and resource planning solution, Assemble, BuildingConnected, PlanGrid, and Pype, totaling over $1.1 billion. **Business Outlook** The transaction is subject to standard closing conditions and is anticipated to conclude during Autodesk’s fourth quarter of fiscal 2022, which ends on January 31, 2022. The acquisition is not expected to have a significant impact on Autodesk’s financial guidance for fiscal 2022. **About Autodesk** Autodesk is reshaping the way the world designs and builds. Integrated Refrigerated Air Dryer

Space saving: integrated design of dryer, filter, gas-water separator and suction dryer, saving space;

Energy saving: The design of three-in-one aluminum alloy heat exchanger minimizes the process loss of cooling capacity and improves the recycling of cooling capacity. Under the same processing capacity, the total red and green input of the modified model will be reduced by 15-30

High efficiency: the integrated heat exchanger is equipped with diversion fins, which is the uniform heat exchange of compressed air inside, and the built-in gas-water separation device is equipped with a stainless steel filter screen to separate the moisture more thoroughly.

Intelligent: Multi-channel temperature and pressure monitoring, real-time display of dew point temperature, automatic recording of accumulated running time, self-diagnosis function, display of corresponding alarm codes, and automatic protection of equipment.

Environmental protection: Corresponding to the international Montreal agreement, this series of models all use R134a, R410a, R407c environmentally friendly refrigerants, and the degree of damage to the atmosphere is zero, adapting to international market needs;

Stability: Standard configuration constant pressure expansion valve, standard configuration intelligent temperature control, laboratory test when the temperature reaches 65 ℃, ambient temperature reaches 42 ℃, flammable and stable operation, at the same time with temperature and pressure dual anti-freeze protection When the time is low, the output of the compressor is automatically stopped, and the aluminum plate is used to exchange the stored cooling capacity to provide heat exchange and energy saving, while extending the service life of the equipment.
