Autodesk to Acquire Cloud Based Estimating Company ProEst
SAN FRANCISCO, December 16, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Today, Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) announced its plan to acquire ProEst, a cloud-based estimating solution that empowers construction teams to develop estimates, conduct digital takeoffs, generate detailed reports and proposals, and manage the bid-day process. By integrating ProEst with Autodesk Construction Cloud, a comprehensive construction management platform that connects teams, data, and workflows across the entire building lifecycle, Autodesk aims to enhance its preconstruction offerings. This acquisition will enable construction teams to handle all their critical preconstruction and construction workflows on a unified platform.
ProEst, with customers like Geisinger, O’Brien Construction, Vantis, and Oswald, quickly and effortlessly translates project scopes, turning drawings, specifications, and models into material, labor, and equipment costs. This not only accelerates the estimation process and strengthens bids but also minimizes project risks and increases the likelihood of securing work. With ProEst's cloud-based solution, customers can access estimating information anytime and anywhere, and import third-party cost databases to optimize estimation workflows. By acquiring ProEst, Autodesk Construction Cloud will bolster its best-in-class cost management capabilities, allowing teams to monitor costs against estimates and provide enhanced visibility to boost the probability of project success.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close during Autodesk’s fourth quarter of fiscal 2022, ending January 31, 2022. The acquisition will have no material impact on Autodesk’s fourth quarter and fiscal year 2022 guidance presented on November 23, 2021.
