The industry standard (HG/T 3981-2007) for bipolar ion membrane electrolyzers, developed by Bluestar (Beijing) Chemical Machinery Co., Ltd., will officially take effect on April 1st. This new standard is expected to play a crucial role in promoting energy efficiency and reducing emissions within the chlor-alkali industry. It represents an important step toward establishing industry norms and improving overall operational standards.
Previously, Zhejiang Jiande Jianye Organic Chemicals Co., Ltd. contributed to the development of six national standards for organic amines, while Zhejiang Xin'an Chemical Group Co., Ltd. successfully introduced a national working standard for dimethyl dichlorosilane, which was later adopted as an official chemical standard after passing the review by the technical committee's organic branch.
Following the Central Economic Work Conference and the National Quality Inspection Work Conference last year, the central leadership emphasized the importance of standardization work, making it more critical than ever. As a result, more enterprises are now actively engaging in the development of industry, national, and even international standards. Companies recognize that participating in standard-setting not only helps them gain a technological edge but also enhances their brand visibility and influence within the industry.
In particular, the chlor-alkali industry is subject to mandatory national energy consumption limits for 22 high-energy-consuming products, which are key targets for national energy conservation and emission reduction efforts. The bipolar ion membrane electrolysis method outlined in Bluestar’s standard offers significant energy-saving benefits compared to the diaphragm method, reducing energy consumption by approximately 1,000 kWh per ton of caustic soda. Additionally, this method addresses pollution issues and produces a higher-purity product.
As of March, North Chemicals has successfully promoted the installation of 7.25 million tons of domestic ion-exchange membrane caustic soda equipment, which can save up to 7.25 billion kWh annually.
Zhejiang Jiande Jianye Organic Chemicals Co., Ltd. has led the drafting of six national standards related to organic amines, including industrial ethylamine, diethylamine, triethylamine, isopropylamine, diisopropylamine, and methods for determining low-carbon aliphatic amine content. These achievements highlight the company’s strong technical capabilities.
Xin'an Chemicals, one of China’s leading producers of organic silicon, also demonstrates strong expertise in organic synthesis technology, further strengthening its position in the industry.
Wei Jing, Secretary-General of the National Chemical Standardization Technical Committee, emphasized that while enterprise participation in standardization is growing, it is essential to shift perspectives. He urged companies to view standard formulation from a broader, more strategic, and international standpoint, ensuring that it contributes to the long-term development of the entire industry.

Other injection molding machines such as thermosetting plastics, structural foaming, multi-component, reactive, exhaust injection molding machines, refers to the processed materials and machine structure characteristics are different from ordinary plastic injection molding machines. About 30% of plastic raw materials are used for injection molding in the world, and injection molding machines account for about 40% of the total production of plastic machinery, and has become an important part of the plastic processing industry and plastic machinery industry, is one of the fastest growing plastic machinery products, varieties, specifications, production of the largest number of machines.
