Japanese style with European and American power

The birth of Dongfeng Tianlong ended the glorious history of the introduction of the flat-headed Dongfeng of Nissan Chai Shenying Cabin for nearly two decades, marking the Dongfeng truck's entry into the heavy-duty era from Zhongka and Quasi-heavy cards, and the domineering name “Dragon” soon became The country has become the focus of attention.

The power configuration of the early Dongfeng Tianlong trucks continued with the Dongfeng Cummins 6CT engine from the Hepingchai and Violet eras. The vehicle of that year was still the country’s secondary engine. After July 1, 2008, the country’s third-generation engine was launched.

On October 15, 2006, three Dongfeng Tianlong heavy trucks of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Company included the "most fuel-efficient award" and "quick running award" of the corresponding group of the first "China International Truck Fuel Contest", and Dongfeng Tianlong won this time. The only vehicle brand in the competition was the “Economy Achievement Award”. The Dongfeng dCi11 engine loaded by Dongfeng Tianlong won the “most fuel-efficient engine award” and won a total of eight awards, making Dongfeng Tianlong the biggest winner in this year’s truck fuel-saving competition. The Fengshen dCi engine with Renault technology was officially assembled in Dongfeng Tianlong in 2008.

The Dongfeng Tianlong's cab was co-developed by Dongfeng Motor and Nissan Diesel, and it was a Japanese style. The style of Dongfeng trucks taking Japanese style is not an example. The classic Dongfeng 153 is a complete replica version of the Nissan Chai Condor, while the Tianlong cab has cited many design elements of the UD truck.
