Compared to previous engines, BorgWarner Turbo Technology has helped the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine to increase fuel efficiency by 20%, reaching the US Environmental Protection Agency's road fuel economy rating of 22 miles per gallon. The BorgWarner turbocharger also has high demand in the Ford 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engines, which were launched in the United States in 2012 Ford Explorer and 2012 Ford Ruijie models, in China in 2011. The Ford F-150 has undergone a rigorous testing program for the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine during the R&D process, simulating 1.6 million miles of travel under the worst conditions. BorgWarner's turbocharger technology proved these tests to be reliable even under extreme external stress. BorgWarner's state-of-the-art technology enables the 3.5-liter engine to achieve an impressive 365 horsepower at a turbine speed of 5,000 rpm. The engine can reach a maximum torque of 570 Nm in a large dynamic range (from 2500 rpm). The V6 EcoBoost engine achieves 90% of maximum torque in the range from 1700 rpm to 5000 rpm, and naturally aspirated V8 engines (generally only at higher turbine speeds to achieve maximum torque and maintain maximum torque) The range is smaller. Compared to the V6 EcoBoost engine, the performance is even better.
