According to Reuters, General Motors is recalling 10,315 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans in North America due to corrosion of road antifreeze salts.
General Motors said that the above-mentioned vehicles ranged from 2003 to 2004, 9,389 were in the US market, and 926 were in the Canadian market, mainly in the 20 colder US states. Antifreeze salts in cold areas may erode the fuel lines, increasing the probability of misfires in the pipeline.
General Motors stated that the current failure has not caused any accident or casualties. The owner has been informed to bring the vehicle to the dealer for repair if necessary. The dealer will replace the new filler pipe assembly for the faulty vehicle.
